VIP SECURITY for Your Digital Signature Certificate
If you use a CD, USB storage device like a pen drive or the browser of your computer to store your digital signature certificate you are risking impersonation and loss of credentials, which could further lead to legal and monetary liability.
Is your digital signature truly secure? Have you ever wondered why it is important to ensure that your digital signature is under your
strict control and not accessible to anybody? It’s the same as someone having the ability to sign your cheque book by forging your
signature accurately to withdraw money from your bank account without your knowledge.
Compliant With The Indian IT Act 2000
The Government Of India Gazette Notification 735(E) dated 24th
October 2004, contains the rules to be read in conjunction with
section 16 of the IT Act 2000. It defines the “secure electronic
record” to be one that has been authenticated by means of a
secure digital signature. To create a secure digital signature, a
smart card or hardware token with cryptographic module has
to be used to create the key pair. The private key remains in the
device at any point in time.
Enchanced Storage Capacity
Every other brand of crypto USB device in India promotes a chip
capacity of 32K. The VASCO® DIGIPASS® KEY 1 (DP KEY 1) has
a 64 K on board storage capacity which means that you can now
hold all your digital signature certificates on one convenient slim
USB device without the bother of limited storage. Since many
authorities insist on different classes of certificates it is quite
normal to use a class 2 certificate for MCA 21 filing and a class
3 digital certificate for bidding for Indian Railway tenders.
PKI CRYPTO USB device for strong authentication, digital signatures & data protection
Works With All With All Certifying Authorities & Classes of
Digital Certificates
No matter which authorized Indian or foreign public certifying
authority or sub-certifying authority has issued your class 2
or class 3 digital signature certificates, VASCO DP KEY 1 and
its’ corresponding DP CertiID software support any X.509 v3
certificates issued.
Features & Benefits
Onboard key pair generation: The chip embedded in the DP KEY 1 is a highly secure data container. The user’s private and public keys are generated on the chip the first time a user requests a certificate. The private key is stored on the chip and can never be exported, making the DP KEY 1 one of the most secure data containers in the world. Non-repudiation of transactions can now be guaranteed.
DP KEY 1 has been designed for cost-efficient mass deployment. Its convenient size qualifies for standard postal rates.
Self Service facility to reset forgotten PINs by means of a self assigned PUK (PIN Unlock Code)
Ability to assign different passwords to individual digital signature certificates stored on the same DP KEY 1, which ensures a higher level of security for each private key.
FIPS Certified Smart Chip housed in sleek USB device for additional level of security.
A two year comprehensive free replacement warranty against all manufacturing defects is offered.
GUI based DIGIPASS management software DP CertiID 3.0.2 I is offered along with the DP KEY 1 to ensure efficient management of the device and all the certificates on it.
